This is Sam. Sam wants to know your one word for 2015. The word that you will focus on in order to make your life the life you want it to be. Could be personal, could be professional, or as he says, in most cases, both.
Sam knows what he's talking about. He's a successful entrepreneur, author and speaker. This dude is the real deal. The company he co-founded, BATCH, is doing great things to showcase local artisans around the country. They recently opened their first brick and mortar in Nashville and are growing like gangbusters, and doing it by building a company that cares about culture -- both theirs, that of makers, and the communities in which they spotlight. You can read about that lots of places, including here (50 People Who are Changing The South.)
But back to One Word. Sam references Warren Buffett when he talks about focusing on a few things and doing them well. (In fact, Sam's own word for the year is "depth" instead of "breadth," which resonates for me a ton.) Here's how the One Word project works:
- Pick your theme word for 2015
- Sign up here, telling him your word.
- From Sam: "Each Sunday in 2015, you'll get a weekly email (always on Sunday mornings) with ideas and tips to keep you focused on this word. I know that distraction is real and without someone or something to help you readjust, it's easy to get off course."
It's all free.
Sam will share suggestions on how to stay on track, and will be transparent about how he's doing with his word. Accountability, conversation, community. This gets me excited.
I've joined in. My word: Purpose.
