Today I bring both my experience as a reporter, writer, and editor, and my years of recovery to my work. I always appreciate it when an editor (like all of the editors on these stories) commission me for a piece. These editors recognize that it's important that people in recovery are at the table in writing, editing, and shaping narratives about addiction, sobriety, and recovery.
I'm passionate about connecting with other storytellers who identify as being sober, and call for a diversity of voices in examining these vital issues. If you are a fellow writer or editor in recovery, or someone who is interested in bringing more voices of recovery to your publication or organization, I'd like to know you.
